About Life Goal Action

When we were children, the world was up for grabs.  The stars were only distant because we were too young to fly.  Sure we would reach our dreams, it was only a matter of waiting.

As time went by, our hopes gradually became dusty and covered in cobwebs, and our aspirations were reduced to line up with our peers.  One by one, our objectives were rationalized.  Instead of flying to the moon we contented ourselves with finding a job to support our family.  Instead of making scientific break-throughs, we sold our lives to a corporation until retirement or retrenchement.  Beyond that, we have pruned and reduced our vision to the point where it is unrecognisable from our childhood perspective.  Our aspiration is simply survival.  Survival and keeping pace with society.

What happened?

Life Goal Action is a web site designed to re-start our journey towards the extraordinary.  It is a set of  information, tools, and inspiration to use in building things that are spectacular to you.  It is based on the premise that the path to effectively achieving whatever is worthwhile comes at the end of three successive steps: Searching your Life, defining your Goal, and taking simple but effective Action.

If this sounds like the site you need to keep you moving towards your potential, then check out the archives and subscribe to the RSS feed by clicking the orange icon in the top right of your screen.

What is so special about Tom O’Leary?  Nothing really.  I am just an ordinary man who is discovering extraordinary ways to achieve extraordinary things with my life.

I have come to realise that the only asset that I really own is my life.  I pour my energy into maximizing the return that I get from this asset.  This question is my constant companion:

How can I use my life to achieve the most productive outcome for myself and the world around me?
